So I've recently got my hands on a 93' Celica GT Convertible, Auto Transmission. I know the 5s-fe engine can't make serious power after turbo as it can't handle high boost and the head was made for economy not power.

!!!!(Will not be deleting information or old questions from post to keep a nice history of what I've learned and what I can help others learn)!!!!

However, I'm curious if it would be better to fully 3sgte swap it and if the 3sgte from a manual transmission will still fit my auto. OR...
Keep the 5s-fe Block and swap a 3sgte Head on to it, again keeping the automatic trans.
Manual swapping it isn't really an option right now but I want to make more power and turbo it in the future and I just know that's not going to happen with 5s-fe block and head.
Also, does anyone know how much the stock automatic transmission can handle before breaking?
If so, is there any recommendation for transmission swaps? (still automatic, I don't want to butcher things in the car to make it manual.)

~Actual mods going on the car~
Either way, was also curious what the 5th gen community thought about coil overs, bushings, and sway bars.

These are the coil overs I've been thinking about getting and want to know if anyone has better ones they'd recommend or if my research has led me astray and these are bad.

-I've ordered them as they DO fit and will let you guys know how they feel and post the differences in body roll.

In terms of bushings I just want to see if anyone has tested out how Poly bushings feel compared to Rubber ones in these cars.
ANSWER
-I've put the poly bushings in and they are definitely stiffer than the original rubber but have in my opinion way better overall feel. Will let you guys know how they are later down the line when they get worn in. - ALSO! The install isn't nearly as tough as I thought it would be! Only took a few hours!

Last but not least, Sway Bar, I found two rear sway bars, one from Whiteline and the other from ST Supensions, wondering if anybody has used either of these and can give an input on which would be better.
-I ordered the Whiteline sway bar.

Alrighty, thank you much. I've done some more research into it, realizing the modding capability WITHOUT manual swapping is little to none. Just going to build everything else up and eventually try to manual swap and full motor swap. :) Will keep this thread updated with new things I add to the Celica.
