Have an 87 celica GT with 2.0 3SFE with auto trans and trans is toast. Have a 90 celica ST with 1.6 4AFE with manual trans and engine is toast. 90 is in much better shape overall and need to salvage a good vehicle if possible. Can I put the 2.0 3SFE in the 90....and would it take any significant mods or pretty much just drop in existing eng mts and bolt right to manual trans?? Seems like non-USA versions of 90 came with the 3SFE, but rather hear from experts on this possible swap. Neither vehicle is a gem so looking for utility solution over all else.
