5SFE Performance rebuild

I was browsing this website and found preformance built shortblocks for the 5SFE engine. Some of the 7MGE/GTE are using these shortblocks.

Reconditioned Block (maged)
Bored .040 over (2204cc's) w/Torque Plates
ROSS Forged Pistons (10.5-1 comp ratio)
Connecting Rods w/new bolts, maged & shot peened
Performance Wrist Pins
Plasma Moly Rings
Toga Main and Rod Bearings
Freeze Plugs
Comes Assembled and Balanced

With higher comp ratio and over bore, this motor should make 155HP!

This short block comes with a complete take off head

Looks like you get the whole shortblock assembled and ready to go. For any of you that need your engine rebuilt this looks like a good way to add a few ponies.

EDIT: AFTER FURTHER INVESTIGATION, IT TURNS OUT THAT THIS COMPANY IS NOT VERY GOOD TO DEAL WITH! CHECK TOWARDS THE END OF THIS THREAD FOR A COMPLETE STORY ON WHY THIS COMPANY SUCKS!

I got my Kamikaze Distributor from there. They will also knife-edge the crank and put Pauter Rods (good to 700whp) in it for a total of $1900. That is what I am gonna do when I have the money.

Like I have said in several other posts, I have links to almost anything you could want for a 5th Gen, all you have to do is ask.

This was posted as interesting information and a resource for any of those wanting to rebuild their 5SFE engine. Appreciate it for what it is and pull your head out of your ass.

Never said the 5SFE was a better engine than the 3SGTE. Again, this site was posted for those looking to rebuild their 5SFE. This comes completely assembled and ready to go, and is a pretty good deal.

However, I'm not going to argue with some punk kid over the internet over something so frivilous. Please stop distracting this thread from its original purpose. Thanks.

The deal in this is not the horsepower gain. The deal in this is getting your engine rebuilt with new components and having the shortblock shipped to your house ASSEMBLED. If someone were in need of an engine rebuild this would be a good alternative. It would not be a good idea to take your perfectly running engine and have it rebuilt for the sole reason of making more power. From the first post:

Ummmm it is a completey remanufactured shortblock. Go to the website. Do you not understand what a rebuilt engine is? There are parts inside of an engine. Did you know that? Over time these parts wear down, and sometimes break. This is when a rebuild is is needed. Again, to quote the original post:

ONCE AGAIN, yes the 3sgte engine has more horsepower and turbo. This thread was posted for those needing a rebuild on their 5SFE. When engines are rebuilt they are considered to be new. What adds to the value of this rebuild is that it includes many high-end performance parts (ross pistons to name one) and comes completely assembled, saving the cost and time of getting your current engine rebuilt. Not everyone wants to swap their engine to another. Maybe you would like to swap a 3sgte in place of your current motor, but not everyone thinks the way you two do.

Also, buying a used engine is also many times hit or miss. Many times, especially with Jap imports, you have no knowledge of the condition of the engine or transmission. If something was abused for 40k miles, it is probably going to be in sad shape. Trust me, I know this.

. both of you . but i have to do it sorry K2 , MA's right hes not sayin this is a out of the box power house . but its a great start . strong rebuilt = new if not better. YES we all know the the 3sgte is the best thing we all could get . but if you really want to be different this is great , a good platform for a power , tire problem , not hp problem eng. but yes its true you both K2 , and Dan are right its not a new factory replacement with 200+ turbo ::drool ,here:: eng. but it can be or it cant it could just be a daily driver. that the best part of it you can make it yours!


example: me and my dad are building a 64 , 150 he wants a 302 , i say 351 . 351=more hp . 302 -same amout for the 351.but i dont got first say he does because its his and thats what hes making it ! so lets all just say that toyota put out a great eng. in the 5sfe ( can smoke hondas and run for 200+k ) and this new company is rebuilding and puting great parts into it to make it better and have even more potental.

k2, I want you to call your local Toyota dealer and get a price quote on a brand new 3sgte longblock, if in fact they do sell it. For reference, a new Toyota 7MGTE longblock (the turbo engine for my car) is listed at over $7,000, if it is even available. Remember this does not include things like the manifolds, the turbo, AFM, ECU, wiring harness, intercoooler and piping, and countless other things that are required for an engine to run....
