i don't see anything like that . i think theres a fill hole on the side of the trans and a drain in the bottom. more info is needed please. 1990 celica gt
There is no dipstick for manual transmission. The hole at the side of the transmission is where you will be adding new oil until it starts to come out. I would check the owner's manual to check for the quantity that is needed.
well found the drain but not the fill. i took pics but ill have to post later. lost a little bit of fluid out of the drain and now have to head to work. hope it doesn't ruin things. i have the redline and bottle pump so all i need is to know where to put it lol. there are many different bolts in all shapes and sizes all over the trans so maybe someone with a 1990 celiac gt manual 2.2L can help me out with some pictures??? its kind of an emergency now to get this done since i will be running low on the fluid thats currently in there. :/
i would post a pic but not sure how to, but anyway,s turns out the other bolt i didn't mention i was tugging on, suspecting it might be the filler, will not come off for anything. not for vice grips or anything. I'm tried putting a socket on it and taping the handle and that would work. taking it to the shop tomorrow morning. said they would do it for 35$$ i don't want to strip it any further
