So I need to replace my starter and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how do i jackup the front end to get to the starter? Any tips/guides to removing/installing a new starter would also be very helpful.

Is your car a GT,(2.2 engine) or an ST (1.6 engine)?

Your in luck, your starter is located a little to the right about mid way down the front of the engine under the hood right beside the exhaust manifold. No reason to lift the car.

I can't get to the bolt under the exhaust manifold to save my life >.< I got the bottom bolt out, but it looks like the top bolt is threaded and there is no way to get to it without removing something, any advice?

I am having the exact same problem, does anyone know the solution to this? (2000 1.6)
