Removing Secondary Air Injection without changing ECU?

Hi,

I am a new Celica Owner and I currently have a check engine light for for my secondary air injection on a 2004 Celica GTS.

I am thinking about removing the whole air injection system altogether as a cheap alternative for a replacement. Is there any method I can use to stop the check engine light. I've heard to apply resistors but I'm not entirely sure what part of the wring harness or what strength the resistor should be.

Thanks!
