Sounds like timing chain rattling.

Either chain is stretched, tensioner loose, or not enough oil getting pumped to the head.

Easy fix first. Flush oil with MOTOR MEDIC GUNK to unblock any residues in the oil lines. Engine should run smoother and better may be after a few flushes. Oil flush could dissolve hardened carbon deposits on valves and piston rings, loosen up the oil rings and holes, preventing sludging and upping compression.

Timing chain and valves are very complex and require a lot of special skills and tools. If oil flushes don't help I suggest you take the car to a good Toyota dealer and pay them $100 for diagnostics. They have test equipment that can pinpoint the exact problems quickly. Then you can find places that can fix them cheap. .
