Well, just swapped my 3L ex police omega for a celica. Never owned a toyota let alone one of these so am a newbie to ownership as well. Had calibra's, cavalier gsi's etc but have always not managed to find a 'spark'. Started chatting to someone on one of the sites i went on and found he wanted a swap. I only know a couple of bits but not 100% sure at all exactly if i have got a bargain at all. Zero rust at all, ticks over really nicely with no adverse funny noises, 178,000 on the clock although the engine appears to defy this (for the better to be truthful)
few pics so i can get some info from the people that know (ie you lot!)

all i know is that it has gti 16v on the boot and is rather nippier than the equivelant 2L 16 cavalier. Hope i have done the right thing and that you guys n gals like her as well

Looks like the last owner took pride in their car it looks mint!!! inside and out,

I also did a swap for my Celica I swapped my 97 Civic coupe for a 2.0 GT4 :¬) which is also my 1st Toyota and gotta say I cant complain drive well looks good and its JAPANESE.

mine only has 62k on it so yours has done alot more but based on the pics I would say its been looked after under the bonnet too.

hey, judging by the no. plate the car was registered in co. derry n. ireland (same county as me)

Paintwork looks immaculate, the entire car looks well maintained.

I think this 5th gen celica has about2h extra bhp over the 2.0 cavalier so thats a bit of extra oomph! good luck with the car
