As we all know, finding parts and accessories for your Celica can be difficult, to say the least. Listed in this pinned topic are those parts, accessories, mods, etc. that we have been able to track down...
If you are looking for something you don't see listed here, please ask in the Wanted forum.

Brake Rotors:
Brought to you by: 1990bluecelicagt

Anyone who needs replacement rotors for thier 5th gen knows they are like $75 each.  If you want rotors for a lot cheaper from your local parts store....tell them you want rotors for a 1989 camry with no ABS.  They are identical in every way to the celica 5 lug rotors, but they only cost $19 each.

THANX FOR THE INFO!!!!

Rear brake conversion
Form drum to disk:

Here is the info from someone who knows!
I got this direct from ray meeks who does sales for Brian Toyota Performance where they also sell a turbo for the 5s-fe engine.
He stated and I qoute
"Actually, there's really not much to it.  The rear hubs are the same, the brake hoses are the same, the e-brake cables are the same, all you need is complete rear calipers, pads and rotors.  The rear calipers list for $340.63 each, they're new and include brackets, and will cost you $223.40 each.  The pads list for $48.05 for a complete rear end set, including all the spring clips and such, and cost you $31.19 each.  The rotors list for $110.00 and cost you $68.00 each.

Ray"

(keep in mind these are brand new factory part prices!)
Rear Calipers: $223.40 (446.80 for both)
Rear brake Pads: $31.19 (62.38 for both)
Rear rotors: $68.00 (136.00 for both)

TOTAL FOR PROJECT USING ALL NEW FACTORY PARTS
$645.18 before shipping.

Hope this helps

ive hear and think that if the header is made for the mr2 will fit the block but will need some work to get it to work on the rest of the system

EDIT Final confirmation -- JC Whitney needs to clean up their website writing. This header only works for the 3SFE out of the 86-89 GT.

forged rods: made by pauter, available through race engineering

forged pistons: made by cp pistons designed for swapping a 3sge or 3sgte head onto a 5sfe block (8.5 to 1 compression), available through race engineering
and
forged pistons: made by wiseco (custom forged for race engineering) designed for turbo/nitrous (8.5 compression) on the 5sfe, with the 5sfe head.

as for headers from the mr2 fitting the celica, they shoudl bolt up to the engine, but will probbaly require some modifications due to the completely different lay out of the exhaust system.

HEADERS

Possible group buys:

RIPP has supposedly promised to alter its 5SFE Camry header to fit the Celica if we can get a group together. The group is being assembled on CelicaGarage

The RIPP header is a 4-2-1 design in ceramic coated steel, 2.25 merge collector and midpipe, the O2 sensor is predrilled directly into one of the mid-pipes, and a flex section is incorporated. Most importantly for those of us who face smog tests, this header comes with a high-flo cat -- which explains the US$469 pricetag.

Hotshot is taking pre-orders for a 90-93 5SFE header http://www.hotshot.com/main.htm that's a 4-2-1 two-piece design with a front pipe and flex section for $389 (first 12, until Feb. 28, then $457). O2 sensor relocation hardware provided, but you need to install an underbody cat.

SSAUTOCHROME.COM is setting up a group buy on celicatech, toyotacelicaonline and here in the sixth-gen forums, for $300 shipped for 4-1 in stainless steel, not CARB exempt and requires moving the primary cat to underneath the car (for non-Cali cars).

Their MR2 headers, which sell for as little as $100 on ebay, can be modified to fit if you've got a welder

Regularly available:
Genie 206E is a 4-2-1 header that requires relocating the cat to under the car and refitting the flex pipe. offers a direct ship from Australia for about US$330, and it can also be obtained from or www.marcor.ca

Hotshot has a US$321 4-1 header with really long runners for the 5SFE MR2, and I've e-mailed them on its applicability to the Celica. Will update if I receive any information.

Stock Celica 3SGE headers -- 4-2-1 design requires cat relocation and a custom front pipe to mate it to the exhaust. E-bay, or wreckers.

Final option: late-model stock 5SFE Camry header. It's not equal length but it's better than Celica stock, 35 pounds lighter, and a lot cheaper.
http://www.celicatech.com/forums/showthrea...highlight=camry

-- aftermarket Camry exhausts as a rule do not fit Celicas even for the same 5SFE engine due to the position of the engine mount and the header conflicting. MR2 headers can be modified to bend at the proper angle.

Okay, now things are getting weird.

Celestial says on Jan. 20 he got an e-mail that the JC Whitney ZX949247NF header will fit the 5SFE in our ST 184 chassis with no mods. I e-mailed JC Whitney and got back this reply Feb. 16

QUOTE
Thank you for contacting JC Whitney!

We are sorry but the item that you are inquiring about is not available for your
application.  The item is only meant for the 86-89 2.0L/3SFE models.

Noe,
JC Whitney Customer Service
Http://www.jcwhitney.com[/B]
The item description says "exc. GTS 2.0L/3SFE" is even wrong -- the 86-89 GTS came with the 3SGE, the GT and ST with the 3SFE.

What the hell are these people doing?

Celestial, you woulnd't happen to remember the customer service guy who e-mailed you back, or still have the e-mail?

EDIT Final confirmation -- JC Whitney needs to clean up their website writing. This header only works for the 3SFE out of the 86-89 GT.
