dumb newbie question about the grey caps on the inside of the door.

so i've taken my doors inside panel off a couple of times and the grey caps over the screws on the inside of the door are by far the most confusing parts of the whole operation.

when you have to take them off it's like they've been glue'd in place or something, and then when you want to put them back they just fall out and don't want to stay anymore.

is there some trick to getting these back on there?

They are snap-on caps. They have a very slight edge on the inside of the hole that the screw head goes into. If you crack the cap, or otherwise disturb that edge, they will fall off. Most of the time, those caps are pretty durable.

ah thank you >.> only found out today one of the covers near the door lock was poping off (put the door back in a hurry because of rain and didn't finetune it >.>) and yea noticed that 2 of th 4 screws for the door have a little rim for the cover to catch on. by sheer luck i put the one's with a edge at the bottom and the edgeless ones at the front so yea :p having no edge to catch the caps stayed on really poorly.
