Cruise control has worked fine for 29 years, but then I had to take apart the lower dash (swapping tranny cables) and now it dont work.

Anyone have any ideas what to start looking for which one I broke? Anyone have this issue before?

I would start looking at electrical circuits from switch to underhood cruise box. Very easy working under dash for connectors to accidentally come unplugged. A good wiring diagram will give you colors along with connector locations for any interface connectors between the switches and main harness and through the front bulk head.

Btw turned out it was the sensor in the brake reservoir. Swapped it out, brake light is gone and cruise works again
My friend will be checking a Celica soon with the cruise control not working so hope it's just a sensor. Still waiting for it to return from the installation of the new tires from 4 Wheelonline before we can take a closer look.
