Hey so I have a 2000 Toyota celica gts it has 235,000 miles on it, I’m about to be moving and have to drive the car all the way there, I don’t trust the engine to make it so I would like to rebuild it, I have someone to do all the work I just need help figuring out what parts to get, I’m planing on turbocharging it later down the road. So I wanted to put good upgrade performance parts in the engine something to give me more power but also be able to withstand all the stress I might be putting on it down the road

Oh I was also thinking of replacing/upgrading my clutch since I’ll have my engine pulled out of my car, I was just thinking of a stage 2 clutch kit just don’t know which kit

2ZZ engines hardly ever get rebuilt because the block cannot be honned. All you can do is get it sleeved or buy a brand new one. Since you want to eventually go boosted I would start with a sleeved block since yours is probably a little out of spec right now anyways. Now is a good time to decide how much money you want to spend on it. It is possible to have a built engine ready for turbo but still running NA with stock ECU so you can wait on some things if you don't have all the money in the world
