Hi forum

I hope someone can help me. I just bought a ‘95 convertible

the passenger rear window doesn’t sit right because the white plastic rollers that go into the power window channel have broken. How do I remove and repair that? Removal is the main issue. Also where can I source the new guide wheels ?

thanks

I've never worked on a celica convertible but I've worked on other convertibles. The basics are that you need to remove the glass first. That is typically unbolting the glass from a glass channel that has the rollers. Once the glass is out, then you can remove the window mechanism. Some OEMs have servicable rollers like BMW. Many do not and the wheel is riveted to the window channel. If you can deal with the rivet, you can have a new wheel machined at a machine shop out of Delrin nylon. Some machine shops can rebuild the wheel and rivet it back together. The other way is to try and find a used window mechanism.
