when i put in the head unit i had to take out the stock amp. so what i did was connect the wires going into the amp and the wires coming out of the amp. So by the time i did that and got all of the speaker wires done, the mute wire, and the ground wire all i had was one wire that i didn't use.
I dont know if i should be adding a wire? i dont know how to do that tho . or should i just not use the back 2 speakers and use the wire from those speakers to power the subs?

then what's the problem. all you need is the remote wire going to the sub amp to turn it on. then run power cable ffrom the battery and RCA cables from he head unit to the amp then signal wires from the amp to the sub

yea you need a separate amp to power your sub. that will take care of your problem with running 2 subs. pretty much what you were doing before was running a subwoofer as a speaker in the trunk. subwoofers are used to make the bass louder not as another speaker that plays music lol. that is unless you want it to then buy a speaker amp for it.

i would go with at least 1000 watt. those polks handle about 800 watts each. it all depends on how loud you want it to be. more watts the louder it will be. i think alpine amps and hifonics are good amps but it all depends on how much you want to spend. some of the ok brands like dual will still work fine but won't be the best. good luck!
