Celica 190 changing gear issue - Toyota Celicas

I have a 2002 Toyota Celica 190, when driving along normally and changing gear is fine. When running in lift changing from 3rd to 4th is exceptionally difficult, and sometimes will not select 4th at all, other gears are fine. Any ideas??

how are your brakes? check your brake fluid. is it low?
