Default Painting Brake Calipers

Have any of you guys painted your brake calipers? I'm about to paint mine and i'm just wondering what prep work I should do.. Whats the best kind of paint in your opinion and that sort of stuff thanks!

I havnt done it but i would think wire brush them down, then sand, then do a primer coat of rustoleum, then a base coat of rustoleum, then a clear finishing coat of rustoleum. I have considered doing it too and this would be my approach

you'll need high temp paint. i bought mine with the one i can paint on with a brush cause it required less masking and i could do touch ups better. just clean it with a wire brush. you don't need to do all that prep work. just a simple clean will be fine. spray painting it on will get you a bit better look but its just harder.

yeah i know i need the high temp paint is there a certain brand you would reccommend (of the high temp paint) and i think i would spray it on

i used calliper paint with a brush and all u need to do is wipe down and paint!!!

dupli color is the best and easy to find. You dont really have to take it all the way out, just use newspaper to cover around it. Make sure u have a real good prep too

There is a special paint that is specifically for calipers. Auto parts stores sell the brake caliper kits to prep, prime, and paint it with the high temp and brake dust resistant paints.
