I have a dumb question.

I have a sub and an amp, (01 GT manual 165KM) and when ever my music is playing and my sub kicks in it rattles my amp. How would i stop my amp from rattling? Would you move it?

Do you have your Amp Mounted in Place with Screws? If you do your best bet is to try to move it.. If it isn't mounted in place you should definitely do that.. What kind of Subs and Amp do you have?? Picture? ill be able to help you better if i can see how you have it set up so a picture would be helpful

I should have asked first of all did you have it professionally installed or did you do it yourself?

Professionally installed and they mounted it to the box!!!!!?!?!?!?!? who in the world installed that??? you shouldnt mount it on the box! thats your problem.. ive heard people do that and after a while it can vibrate things loose and can mess your amp up... who installed that please tell me it wasn't crutchfield?? anyway yeah my guess is a new amp would prolly fix the problem and when you get the new amp dont mount it to the box. Some places I guess do that but I dont think its a good idea mount it to like the back of the seat or something... DO NOT MOUNT IT TO METAL! your best bet would be mount it to a piece of wood and mount that wood to your car somewhere but if you need it to look good you can carpet the wood or something I think the problem is that its mounted to the box... But yeah, i would invest in a good amp, do you have a mono? 2 channel? I would get a Sound ordinance M-2100 amp its a 2 channel and you can bridge it its about 100$ and its great! thats what i use...

Yeah Visions mounted it, Last time i ever go there, They really messed my speakers up, they didn't screw in my speakers well enough and when i was driving they fell right off. which was stupid. So i got my money back after a long time, I live in canada..i dont think we have crutchfield..lol.

Anyway. Its a 4 ch amp but they only attached it to my sub cuz my amp has 800 wats and my sub has 1000. so they said its gonna sound bad if the sub doesnt get enough power.
mind posting a picture of ur set up? I love music, cant see myself without loud blasting music thats playing some Jay Z and 2pac. :P

hahah yeah ill post my set-up its nothing great i got it all for 275$ cuz i installed myself.. lol that's a pretty big sub for a celica i just got a small sub cuz i was afraid of breaking my back windshield haha but yeah Crutchfield down here in america is great i'm gunna try to get a job there sometime soon. But yeah if its ur amp thats rattling i think you will have to get a new one if you want it to quit rattling, the other option is to let it run a while until it breaks my guess is soon its going to lose some connections inside the amp here in a while, might last a while tho but for the rattling to stop you might have to get a new amp... but yeah ill post a pic sometime tomorrow I have a basketball game today and im at school right now so i cant send one but i will sometime tomorrow
