Sounds like your car is going through a Big Transformation, (Sweet) You gonna do the work? or send it out? .. Pics before, during and after would be Cool ..

I to am looking at a low miles engine to replace my sick one, my Kid can Paint so i am designing a paint scheme, get her lowered with some tires & rims for starters. I love that you have so many options in the aftermarket world for these cars. Ya, one step at a time.

Might be a better deal to just buy a GT-S...

You know the only difference between a USDM and JDM 2zz is the TB and ECU.

The JDM ECU is made to run on the higher quality gas that is sold in Japan. You might end with about a 15 hp gain at the cost of about $2800 importing a JDM engine.

There was never a 210 hp 2zz. It was 187 hp in a JDM Celica GTS and 200 hp in a limited edition TRD "Sports M" version and they all put that power on Japanese higher grade gasoline.

It translates to around 175hp and 190hp respectively. Save your money and port/polish/tune a USDM engine.

im not importing anything from japan im paying 2500 for a complete jdm motor with very low km's from quebec so im not paying any customs or any crazy shipping fees its 2500 shipped. I have more than enough money to do this swap and i have a local gts to take the shifter linkage and pedals and pedal linkage. all in all the full auto-manual and engine swap is gunna cost me 3,500-4,000 im stoked for this!
