Default New 00 Celica owner, want to say hi, and ask my first question.

Hi there, I recently bought a used 00 Celica gts manual. Love it, but it needs a little tlc. My first hurdle is that some of the dash lights are out. The speedometer and tachometer numbers and dash lines are out, but the needles on both are still lit up. The cruise control light and high beam light are both out as well. All other indicator lights work as normal.

Any thoughts on what this may be and/or how to fix it. I hope it's just a fuse, but I'm not sure, was hoping someone could tell me which fuses to check.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

yea, check the fuse but if the other light work and only some of the light doesnt then i doubt it would be the fuse. You can open it up, there's only 2 screw where the speedometer is (really easy open) change out the light inside might take a lil electrical skill but it doable too. just make sure u unplug your batery before anything hope this help

Thanks for the replies!

I cracked it open, and realized the previous owner had put an aftermarket kit that did not work, cut that thing off and bam! let there be light!
