Default Correct air pressure

I just took my Gt to Firestone for an oil change, while I was there they told me I had way too much air in my tires 45 psi. I told them I was going by what pressure was listed on the tires which says 50 psi max. I am running on
205/45R17 Michelin Pilot Sports. They told me at Firestone they should only have around 30 psi of air in them per manufacturer. I told them that might be correct if I had the original size tires the car came with, which were
195/60R15. On the car door for those size tires it says 29psi. I told them to drop the pressure to 40 psi. What should the tires be inflated to ?? The car seems to ride and corner great with what I had been running on, 45 psi.

Thanks !
I want to run safe and I also dont want to prematurely wear out the tires. They were not cheap. Thanks again. One other thing I noticed when i was going thru my owners manual they listed the tire psi for the GTS 205/50R16 at 32 psi. Think that might be better or just stick with the 30 ? and again THANKS

It says 50psi in the phrase "Do not exceed 50psi when seating beads"
That is telling the mounting tech he can't exceed 50 psi to pop the tires onto the rim.
Keep it between 29 and 33psi

For the gt you should be running 29 psi, not sure about the gts.Dont you have a manual or a sticker in the drivers side door telling you what psi to use??

Yea it says on the door 29psi, I just thought since I went up in size 205/45R17's I needed more air. I dropped the psi to 32. I found that listed in my owners manual for the GTS that came with 16" tires.

Thanks.

dont know what the **** I was thinking ??????
