Okay so i just took off the butterfly valve in my 2000 celica gts. i wanted that deeper sound and i was greatly impressed. so i got really cocky. asked my dad if he wanted to race me. He said yes hold on and let me program my truck.. he has a 2004 f250 ford diesel. after he programed it, it supposely adds around 150 horses. the 04 and 05 models were the only ones that were made to allow that much added horses from a programmer... well we were on my highway.. got a rolling start. honked three times. on the third one i took off. his truck is an auto and my car is a stick. so i had the advantage right away... i hit the lift and stayed in it. he started catching up around 70mph and then he just blew me out of the water. by the time i hit 100 he was at least a couple hundred feet ahead of me. i was sooo dissapointed haha but it was fun...
sorry i just wanted to tell u guys because i thought it was pretty cool that i had him beat at first. thats all.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

i agree with you that they do destroy the engines thats why he only programmed it for the race.. but this progrommer has been dynoed to add 150 horse. its the only programmer to do so. and it was only made on those years.. so 40 horses no.. it aint no forty horses that beat my gts.

Sorry, the GTS trim is good on a Corolla FX16, but only the Celica with "Supra" trim were actually sports cars and not Spocom.
And he probably had turbo plus displacement plus torque advantage on you. You just had weight advantage on him.

doesnt destroy engines, just automatic transmissions, engines usually hold up just fine because those automatics usually blow before any engine damage can be done... and i do diesel performance for a living... sooo what tuner is this because im definitely interested in it

its called a super tuner thats the brand name and they stopped making them but you could prolly still find one. and oo yea he only programmed it just to race me. he doesnt normall keep it that high on the performance level.
and haha yea he totally had the advantage over me. i figured he was gonna beat me. but on take off i thought holy cow maybe i had a chance but yea he just flew by me after we got to top end... my car totally doesnt have good top end. it can take off pretty good.. but top end my car sucks. once i get to about 70 or higher it will just start to creep up. it doesnt jump like it does from 0 to 60 lol |

oh I know what your talking about. they made a ton for the 7.3 superchip tuner
its not as much of gain as they say it is for the 6.0 liter as they it is still though. put one on a stock truck with 115 miles on it and it gained about 87/115 on the high performance setting. I think the box said it was supposed to be 150/225 gains. put it on several others but the only ones with noticeable differences were the ones with built rigs. aftermarket tranny components injectors pumps Turbo upgrade. but at that point it was usually uploading a Spartan tune for them |
