Hey!

You can use platinum and copper aswell. The diffrence between them are only that iridium last longer but are alot more expensive :/ i usually go with the cheaper ones and change them with every service.

The thing you have to consider tho is that the spark plug gap is right. For the celica it is 0.043" or 1.1 mm. I use these: 18-BKR5EYA11 from NGK. they cost like 5€ when the iridium ix plugs cost 36€ they are cheaper on ebay ofc.

If you wonder what brand to get, i would say that the NGK is better than Bosch.

Good luck!

it all depends on the "heat" range your motor operates at. if it requires iridium plugs get iridium . i know alot of the 3sgte guys use standard copper plugs but change them out more often do to the operating temperatures/spark. plugs will not give you better performance.

Recently, Advance Auto Parts updated their parts look-up to include the OEM plug material.
I work at AAP and I would assume Autozone put the same update into their system.

Iridium and platinum plugs should last 100K miles between replacement, where as copper plugs probably last only 20K.

Different types of plugs would draw different amount of current from the ignition module. If continuously overdrawn, ignition will will heat up and have shorter life.

Better to stick to OE parts.

Personally I would go with some NGK Iridium IX, they are supposed to last 75,000 miles.
