they both take a suction off the same tank, which is in the engine compartment. I would trace the lines going from the trunk to the engine compartment to see if there is a break and also check the spray nozzle in the rear for clogs. I've used sewing needles to unclog them before.

so i disconnected the washer hose and ran 4 cups of it from the front and back. i ran it into a clear cup and what came out was leafy stuff. it seems that there is a type of leafy film that inside the line that flakes off when liquid is ran through. so i think i will run water through the lines til the flakes stop coming out. the flakes are clogging the rear washer but the front washers have enough force to push the flakes through. anyone have any other suggestions?

try running some vinegar through it. I'm not saying this because I've done it before. I'm just thinking that it works great to clean out coffee makers and irons so perhaps it will work here. Good luck!
