Can it be done. Sure. they have fit a v12 in a miatta, is it a practicle swap for you. No not in the slightest. The 6th gen can fit a 3s due to them both being a s series motors. 7th gens have zz series. Big diffrence.

See? I'm not just being a downer, we have legitimate reasons for not recommending this swap.

You are talking about a project that requires giving up an entire bay if not an entire garage to house all the parts during the build.
Then you or whoever is doing the swap will be spending every waking minute working on this car for months, if not longer. This assumes you have all the custom and OEM components in your possession already and don't have to wait for them to be shipped to you as the need arises.

Family or not, people need to go to work so they can eat. They wouldn't be able to do this for free or on the cheap. Even if you did this all on your own, it would takes months to years to complete if you do it all in spare time (before/after work or school)

You stated you are doing this swap stretched out over time?
Then that estimate of time it will take to do the swap might double or triple when you account for the time it takes to find the rare parts then accumulate the funds then wait for the parts to ship to you.

You get into a predicament of needing the funding of a high paying, full time job while needing the free time that comes with a low wage, low hours part time job.
ok then. ik the 2zz is at least a viable engine for a 7th gen. mwr does tuning for it. up to 7k then i can get help with installation no problem. i didnt say these mods HAVE to be done. i just asked what part of it is ok. well from what i hear the awd or rwd takes a **** ton of work, but lets just start with the engine alone at fwd. in the next few years ill be saving for a full tuned MWR engine 2.0 2zz (yes they make one stroker) and its around 7k fully tuned. and an air intake and exhaust system. thats it for now. now is this part of my plan a viable investment?

Yes, just be warned that L4's that are stroked do not last nearly as long as the non-stroked version.

I do not deal much with newer Toyota L4's in the race scene.
