I just got a blue '02 Celica GT and I want to start fixing it up. One thing I've really been wanting to do was change my dash lights to blue. I've been checking into it and I found the lights and gauges online. But I read in some other forum that when you mess with the gauges it resets the mileage and can mess up other things. I was just wandering if anyone has had those problems and if they recomend me trying this?

shouldn't mess with your mileage. just be really careful. ive been thinking about changing the gauges on my car too, but here's some advice from a buddy of mine; before you take out you gauges take a picture of the cluster. make sure the picture is good enough to show you where each needle lies while the car is off/on. you can also take a picture of your mileage so if for some reason something does go wrong you can take it to a shop and have the mileage changed with proof.

thanks that is a really good idea! I will be sure to take pictures of everything first. Just another question though, did your friend just switch out the gauges or actually change the LED lights in there? im considering both ways but with changing the LEDs it requires soldering which worries me, even though the shop is very confident about both ways. the down side of just changing the gauges is i dont think it will change my gas gauge bc its digital will it? also does anyone know of a website where i can find gauges that will be blue other than ebay? thanks!

There's a difference between changing the lights and the gauges. All the Glow gauges I've seen have built in lighting. So you just dim your stock lights all the way down or disconnect them and the glow gauges light themselves. Atleast that's how I did it with my last car.

nah the glo gauges will probably just be shaped around the digital part of the cluster so that will just stay the same.

Hi! I have a 2002 celica gt. I was also wanting to change my gauge lights. I went to the LED store and it says that the light conversion will not work with the stock gauge face. Is this true? The only gauge face that they have on that store is for a gts. I can't seem to find a different gauge face for the gt. Can anyone help?

That is true.

However, he can also custom make you a gauge face with any choice you like.
