Do the dash lights come on with the key in the on position? Do you have power (12 volts) at the stater? Where did the starter come from?

Looking at wiring diagram. Is it stick or auto, 5s-fe or 7a-fe?

Why do you think it's the ign. sw.? Is the 7.5 Amp ST fuse good (under hood fuse block)? Is there anything obstructing the clutch pedal from going all the way to the floor to engage the clutch start switch? And did you check for power at the starter? Simple stuff like battery terminals clean AND tight? Hold the key in the start position and 'tap' the starter with a hammer (or wrench or something) and see if it's a bad starter out of the box!

If you have a volt-meter check your battery. Should be 12-14V's. Check your 60A main fuse (pull the fuse and touch the 2 prongs). If no voltage then your wire to your fuse box may be broken....

Glad you found it. Hate that it's sitting in deep water! Hopefully you can get it out soon.
