Default 1999 Convertible fix-up thread

Whooo! Got a running "vert" towed to my house yesterday.. It has its share of issues, but having paid $1k, I figure this will be a nice project to get some hands-on time with and not care if something goes wrong. After looking it over, I see it has the following mods:

- bumpers, sideskirts (all pretty damaged)
- headers and exhaust
- cold air intake

Ironically, it still pulls worse than my stock '99 accord, but then again I didn't get it for the speed and with the top down I couldn't care less

I really got this as something to learn and practice on in my free time, so I've identified a few items I'll be working on in the near future:

- Install driver's side rear window (original was broken, but a replacement came with the car). I started this already, so probably won't document it much.
- Fix car alignment. This is why I decided to have it towed the 50 miles it had to go. If I let go of the steering wheel, the car starts drifting right pretty severely. It seems like it may be the lower control arm, but I'll probably take it to my mechanic to confirm. The front passenger wheel also has some play (up/down and side to side), so there may be more to it, but I can't figure out how to diagnose it.
- When I try to operate the top electronically, I hear a relay click, but the motor doesn't run. I'll test out the motor first and send for a rebuild, if necessary. However, I suspect it may just be a connection issue since both motors seem to not be working.
- Fix body. I'm not even sure where to start on this one... Find OEM bumpers, side skirts, fenders, etc. I'm hoping to find a junkyard car or some other source of really cheap original parts, but may end up taking a different route if this proves to be unrealistic.
- Repaint. The $50 rustoleum paintjob sounds really promising for this car.

I'll see how far down this list I get before I get bored, but I'll try to post some progress updates if anyone's interested.. I'll post some current pictures in a little while.
