Default fuel tank problem

my first car is a 94 celica gt and im quite proud of it, i recently filled the tank and realised its leaking, its kinda hard to find a new fuel tank online for this car but other models of toyota's seem to have an abundance of cheap parts. soo my question is does the 94 celica share the same gas tank with any other model ?

no..it has to be from the same generation.. should go to your local junk yard u may have a better chance of finding one and a lot cheaper

it very well could be just the fill neck, most tanks dont "leak" per se. when you fill it are you filling past the F line? if so try not filling it so much next time.

its been dripping for a few days now and it has just stopped, i filled it to F for the first time and thats when i saw the leak... but now its at 3/4 of a tank and its done leaking. toyota quoted me 1400 for a new tank which is ridiculous, so im probably going to get it refurbished

The car is barely worth that, just dont fill it up all the way.

I'm not gonna lie, just don't fill it all the way. I have had this problem since I bought my 97 Gt COnvertible last March. It leaks from the fuel line and stops once some gas is used. It's not a big problem. I may have mine replaced since after i drive I smells gas. But as everyone else said, not a problem.
