So I was driving home from work the other night and I noticed my dash lights flickers everytime I brake, signal, or when my subwoofer hits. Its not just the dash its also my headlights too. Im wondering if its a weak alternator or something else. Any ideas?

I have 2 12s on 1500w rms. I had to get a high ouput alt and a diff battery. A .10% of a volt drop can cause your lights to dim. Clean grounds. And I just moved the batt ground to chasis onto the strut tower bolt. I get no light dim. But my alt puts out 200a @ 2k rpm. and charges @ 14.9v with hardly any drop.

Do they flicker completely? or just slightly dim? Mine does it when I use my power windows.. There was actually a thread about this a few months ago and it seemed to be very common on 5th gens.

anybody happen to have the link to that thread posted a while ago? im having the same issue with my GT, but on a much worse scale. I just changed the alternator a few months ago, and the battery tested good at the time. tonight I'm going to test both, but just in case does anyone have any other opinions?
