Default Constant thumping noise

Well in my 1993 Celica ST there is a constant thumping noise. It sounds like it is coming from my front drivers side. It also vibrates through the gas pedal. The noise gets louder and faster the faster my car is going. We put the car up and the bearings were tight. We also got new front tires because they were getting bald. That also did not help the noise. The noise started about a week ago. We replaced the CV axle in this side as well, around 6 months ago. What else could it be?

what you can do is jack it up and the hit the tire with a hammer ( heavy one if possible ). try different angles until you hear the noise and try to look where its coming from.

Dude, not to bash but that is horrible advise. Im a mechanic and dont do that. If that is how you chose to troubleshoot your car then thats kool. That "Heavy hammer" could seperate bands inside the tire. Hit the rim and you can crack and or bend it. to check tire rods and ball joints you need a pry bar and 2 jacks. Jack it up. and shake with you hand if it feels loose then it is your wheelbearing. Grab and try to pull on suspension parts. Check struts. A thumping noise is pretty vague. If you can jack up the front of the car by the radiator support and use jack stands. Put the car in gear with the ebrake engaged. Check for noise. It could be a loose axle or there is a plate on the drivers side that holds the inner cv to the transmission. Take a video of the noise.

Thank you. I will be jacking it up and videoing it tomorrow. It almost sounds like it is right under the drivers side. Like it could be that plate. I'll check it out and get back to you

Here's a little update on this problem. I put it up and tried to find the source of the noise but it didn't make the noise when it was on racks. The noise is gradually getting louder now.
