no start after engine wash

The title explains it.
I washed and degreased the whole car before it store it for winter. That includes a power wash with degreaser and steaming hot water of engine bay, body, and under the car.
i was careful not to soak the distributor, but it did get wet.

When i crank the engine, there is a good steady spark and fuel streams shoot out when spark plugs are removed.
but it doesn't start ?
i also think there is no fuel when i remove the jumper for the fuel pump.
Does the fuel injectors rely on the distributor signal ? i think so since the is no crank sensor...
anything i dont get here ? fuel and spark, it should start. and it ran perfectly before i washed it.
I know i should not wash and engine bay . but i hate storing a dirty car for 5 months and working on a dirty engine bay.

u have to wait till it drys or just crank it till its starts then rev the engine lol till it gets hot and the water drys

i didnt open it but i used compressed air to dry out the outside. but there is a spark ? i it was wet would there be no spark or weak ? tomorrow i will try to switch it with a spare one. but now im tired from washing all the car. and depressed cause im storing my celica convertible for 5 months i hate canada

just wait a few hours and try again... me nd my bro had to park from 10 at night to midnight just to wait lol we wer on a drive just to warm up the car and it died on us lol. but u should be good.

next time try a rag on the distributer thts wat i do.. havent washed the engine for a while now lol

finally it was the ignitor !
I took off the distributor cap and it was dry. took out spark plugs to let it dry out.
still didnt strart, so i tried a spare ignitor from my stash and it fired up !!
Now i just have to wait until the snow will melt. about mid march or april... :P

Now i start the projects !!

Im not gonna use it until march or april. so i will drop the suspention. fix minor rust spots, install jetchip ecu, install gts door panels, fix small problem with convertible roof, paint more engine parts, have both bumpers painted and innstall the bumper with fog lights... i probably forgot some.
i have a small heated garage to work in and lot's of beer
you want a beer !
