This is a 4afe head, notice how there is one protrusions for a timing pulley and the other cam runs off the driven cam that connects to the timing belt.

This is a 4age head, notice that both cams are driven off of the timing belt. There is no internal gears that connect the two camshafts.

This means that a 4age has both camshafts turning clockwise, in sync with the crankshaft.
The 4afe has one cam turning clockwise and one turning counterclockwise. Unless you are a magician or willing to have custom cams made and/or redesign the top end, this is an impasse.

AHEM. 5sgte. aka 5sfe with 3sgte head. you need to do alot to make this actually work. your honestly better off just purchasing a 4age/gze, i myself probably could do this swap in two days. but thats me. for you id take at least a week or two.

Subspec, you could probably build him a new car in the time it will take anyone else to do a proper, above board engine swap

To return to the original topic, it will be much easier and slightly more expensive to put a full, unmolested/rebuilt production engine into a car than to go swapping a new head or one off a different powerplant onto an existing, worn engine.
It just asks for trouble down the road.
