Yeah the weight off the rims, hard cornering lots lots of stress with all that weight on curves.. trying to launch car with that amount of weight that's mainly why Axles gave. Trying to burn rubber with those rims is a no bueno if u have a lot of meat on Rubber :P, but if ur @ slicks point its better less stress for axles :P.. but that passenger side axle was the 1st to go.. rubber boot was there intact.. but internally it fail.. to much play n was making noise while driving.. not when turning... Its like when people install 20" rims on there rides... lets take my bro he has a 05 Explorer with 22" his brakes went out in less than a year(rotors warp, got to hot) keep telling him to upgrade, shocks went out replace with offroading shocks good choice
... n his Hub Bearings went out.. my friends Chrysler 300 his shocks only lasted 5,000 miles when they 1st started coming out, cause he rolled with 22" n he didn't wanted to take it to dealer cause same thing would happen... & there were no After market suspension components back then.. so he had to roll like that for the longest(eventually he took it in to dealer with OEM rims :P) Now he's got some good after market suspension

Dam, im going to have to keep an eye open for that. I just noticed that my tie rods are bad so thats whats next for my celi.
You have poly bushings for you sway bars right? How do you like them? Are they to stiff, probably going to replace my front ones. They look like they might be going out so...upgrade time. Also im sure I have told you this before but I love them rotas you have, I would paint them but thats me.

You are no better than some ghetto moron if you slap rims on your car then skip over upgrading the suspension components.

Cool I might be installing some poly bushings next week. Idk I usually never like black rims...they don't look bad on yours though. I have always been a fan of rims on the lighter side of the greyscale.
Update on celi... So after more investigation my tie rods aren't at fault for my steering issus. The problem now seems to be my rack and pinion. I still havent had time to have a mechanic check it but its my goal to have this issue fixed by this week. Ill keep you guys posted on this. As far as rims, I have started my coin jar for new wheels. Going to try and save up to buy some badass wheels. Keep these T.C ones for winter and then new summer ones. It will be a while before that becomes a reality though. thinking some 15 |
