Default High Idle Probelms

Hey guys! Another question. When I start my car it will idle around 2 grand for awhile I will drive it and it will go to about 12 to 1400 RPM after about 20 to 30 minutes of riving it idles perfect at 800 rpms. Im lost and confused> :/ Any ideas!

Also how hard is it to change a clutch?

Clean out the throttle body, mine did that and after cleaning it, the rpms dropped down to 800rpm.

a can of throttle body cleaner at auto parts store.
just remove intake air hose and spray in there with engine running and play with gas at same time.
dont shoot too much at once because it wipes oil from cylinders walls ( not good ).
if you due for oil change , do that before. if not its not that bad but crap goes in oil.

Ahh ok so I dont have to take the throttle body off? Saves some time and do it while the engine is running. I just changed the oil abou 2000 ago but maybe I will rechange it I am thinking about switching back over to synthetic again anyways! As always thanks guys!

As a word of advise. Your not suppose to switch. from synthetic to normal oil. You can do the other way around. I would check the temp sender for cold start.

Even if I did a motor flush and wheres the temp sender? Is it right by the radiator hose like where the temp sensor is I think the knock sensor is there too not too sure

It's on the water neck. Check the resistance of it.

theres two beside each other....the one to the left is the sender. mines revvin out to 2 thou when cold too, i changed the temp. sensor on the right and no diffrence, do u think changing the temp sender sensor would help??
