Default Engine Issues

I recently upgraded my fuel pump to a 255 LPH one and now when I drive my 91 ST it's having some trouble in the power department. Can anyone help me?

It starts up fine but when I put it into reverse or 1st it seems like it wants to stall

So it's a standard and when you let the clutch out it wants to stall in both R and 1st. And it didn't do this before you replaced the fuel pump. Did you have any problems with the install? How much gas was in the tank before the install and now?

Probably should pull the pump back out and make sure it's not sucking air someplace it's supposed to be sucking fuel or the a rubber hose isn't pinched somewhere. On a funny side note make sure the rubber intake boot from the air cleaner box to the intake manifold isn't cracked (usually in the 'accordian' section where it's not totally visable).

No pinches and I have an aftermarket intake so no air intake boot.

Need to hook up a fuel pressure gauge to be sure it is being fuel starved. If it was running fine before you replaced the pump I think your problem is there. Is it possible the pump is bad out of the box. Any check engine light?

Here's the other thing. When I drive up hill it seems to struggle for fuel, but on level or downhill it's fine
