Hey guys having an issue with my 91 Celica ST 1.6 Manuel
I have checked all fuses, disconnected the battery in possible failsafe in cluster. I then checked the speedometer cable from the firewall to the tranny and noticed it was loose at the connection to the tranny. I finger tightednt it on the best that I could but there is no change. I decided to choose to order a new speedometer cable i noticed mine is two cables put together. I can find the top half easily on ebay ATP Y-844 Speedometer Cable | eBay But i am looking for the lower half to see if that helps and not have to rip my dash apart. Does anybody know the part number for this? or any other suggestions |

I had ordered the cable from ebay in my original post and it is the cable from the transmission to the cable coming out of the firewall. It cost me less than $15 and worked great.
The problem was when i pulled the old cable out it had broken on the inside and slid right out. I hope this can help someone out in the future. |
