Hello everyone sorry i made a post before this and i realized it must be a little confusing and sorry for the double post i dont know how to delete the post.
anyways. im having some trouble with my 1992 celica st. I just recently replaced all the taillights on my car and for some reason the reverse lights dont work. My other works like the brake lights and blinkers, i just cant get the reverse lights to go on. I recently earlier just bought a fuse tester and i tested all the fuses under the hood and underneath the driver side left panel and they all worked well. i have no idea whats going on and im not very car smart .any help is a apprciated!!!! |

theres no relays for the reverse light. there is one for the tails but that controls things like running lights and turn signals. the reverse light runs off of the gauge fuse, it also ties into your defogger if that fuse is blown or is having issues then you wont have power, after that it goes to your backup light switch, this is on the tranny i believe. after that it goes to the bulb, if your getting power at the red black or white black wires then its your ground. your grounding point is located on the center back of the trunk.(says center back panel) according to the wire diagram.
the bulb is a 1156 bulb which is pretty idiot proof to replace. but for shits and giggles try to see if you installed the bulb correctly. im going to assume you didnt have any problems before you replaced your bulb

![]() there should be a setting for battery. use the 12v setting. with the black lead connect it to something metalic(ground) usually a screw or bare metal of the chassis. after that touch the terminals of the light socket with the red lead. if you get about 10-14volts your golden. its something with your bulb.
