Default small oil puddle under transmission

when I bought this car last year it has a small puddle just under the transmission and I kinda tracked it down and i thought it was the drive axle seal. mine is a 5SFE 5 speed.

So I replaced the drive axle last year, flush/replace tranny gear oil and it didnt do the trick. still small puddle underneath the tranny. its brown/gold colour could it be engine oil or gear oil?

if its the tranny and puddle coming out of my tranny and it has been more than a year wouldnt my tranny die out of gear oil?
checked masterbrake fluid/clutch fluid all full. oil change all good.

i just have a hard time taking out the 17mm tranny fill bolt to check it because when i flush the tranny i went to the transmission mechanic and he told me theres a little bit metal shavings in the tranny and my syncro is going. they have "no idea" why theres still puddle coming out of somewhere after repalcing the oil seal.

Fill plug is a 24mm not 17. Could be your rear main oil seal, only way to replace this seal is to remove the tranny.

something tells me its not the tranny fluid because the color should be dark brown as you dont change gear oil every 3 months or so. I flushed it and never add in anything since last September. shouldn't it be dark brown if its tranny fluid leak?

its gold/clear looked like new oil by the way. possible brake fluid? checked the master cylinder and brake its full. however it does looked like brake fluid.
need your expertise man. im going to place a card board underneath the tranny today when i go to work. the fluid is coming down under the driver side of the transmission.
its been doing it since last year September or even longer.

gear lube stinks something fearce, try tracking it down. only things that are oily on that side are the tranny gear lube, and rear main seal. check the oil pan area by the tranny. see if its wet.
