Default Megan Lowering Springs problems.

Hey guys,
Started to put the shocks and springs on my celi, ran into some problems, so I threw her back together, and took her to my mechanic.

He said that the springs have a bigger circumference, so the stock spring cup wont work? At least thats the way I interpreted it.

Just wondering what those of you who have/had megan lowering springs did.

Thanks
Aaron

The springs for an ST, GT, or GTS are different.

Gt and gts are the same. The only diffrence between them are packages. Like leather. system ten....etc. motors and chassis are the same

I apologize then.
Back when Celicas were sports cars and not sport compacts, the GT was a solid axle and the GTS was a IRS thus requiring different springs.
And I remember seeing somewhere that the rear suspension on a FWD GT trim was solid still and the GTS was the only trim with IRS.

Poor manufacturing? I think whenever megan racing is brought up people just asume its crap. LOL I personally quite like their products.

I think the place at the mall might have just given you the wrong set. Have you talked to them? You can always call megan awesome customer service ->Megan Racing

I ended up figuring it out. I just had my head up my a$$ that day lol
Got the new shocks and lowering spings on it all around. Lowered it quite a bit; more than I was expecting. Handles better too. Not as good as my VW, but its better than it was.
