Thanks

There is only 2 ways to get an ignition key... buy a new ignition with key or take your vin to the dealer to have them remake a key for you.

I can share with you that new lock cylinders for the doors are over $70.00 for the lock and key.

Best of luck mate!

you can get a ignition key cut, your options go as such

1: call a good locksmith(not cheap but a good locksmith can hand cut a key using a plastic blank and transfer it to a metal key)
2: pull your drivers door panel, and remove the lock cyl. there will be a identification # on the cylinder. take that # and your vin to the dealer, they will be able to cut a key off of that if they are a good parts dept. you may have to show proof of ownership with this method.
3: replace the ignition cyl with a new one

option 1 will run about $100, option 2 will be about $25 for the key. option 3 will be about $70

that is nice to know, the Celica I bought only came with the valet key(they had lost the other one <_< ) so I can't lock my dash. So if that ever gets annoying I know how to get an original lol.

Fixitman04 was correct except for one item. You can only get the key code off the passenger side (right hand) door lock cylinder on a US model. Once you get the code, which may be very hard to read. Call the dealer first and make sure that it sounds like a valid code.

I got my 92 with no keys. A local lock smith came out and pulled the door lock cylinder, took it too his shop and came back the next day with a good key.
