Hello, I just bought a clean original 1984 Celica GTS with 146k miles. It has a rebuilt 22R and a few new mechanical goodies so it really just needs some cosmetic tlc. What are the best sources for things like a carpet kit, window channel rubber, parking lights, power side mirror repair parts, dash cap or restore original dash and what 14" tires are good besides BFG's? Also what are some good performance goodies like maybe a turbo kit or just some n/a stuff like a header and exhaust. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am 46 yrs old and have restored many different vehicles from a 50 Hudson, 69 Plymouth Valiant, 67 Plymouth Barracuda, 1987 Shelby Lancer and a 1988 Chrysler Conquest.
If you have a 22R you already have a carb. If you have EFI you have a 22RE and whike you can put a 20R head on it, you have to remove all the efi stuff.
The EFI is alright but aside from swapping whole engine or turboing, not much can be gained from it at a good cost. You can have the head ported.
What about a carpet kit? Also window channel rubber?
