Default coilovers and springs for 84 celica gt help

Hi guys need some advice for installing new coilovers and springs for my 84 celica gt. right now i took out the struts and added after market parts but now im looking to take off my old shocks from the back and front and add new ones any ideas on the spring rate and how to take off the back?? please help any advice will be greatly appreciated. will post pics up after the installation.
