I understand that I haven't posted on this forum before, but I'm looking for any and all 3rd gen enthusiats who want a carbon fiber hood for their car, so I gotta look everywhere as we're scarce! I've been looking all over the place for a Group Buy of this nature, but haven't had any luck..

I need to buy a hood for my '85 GT-S Vert as a tree fell on mine with one of the previous owners. My car has been painted and the company that painted it doesn't make the color anymore. So, in my mind, rather than buy a new hood and paint it a color that isint going to be a perfect match, I'd rather shell out a little more to buy a carbon fiber hood. The problem with this is that no companies have a mold for our hood design, so after calling around, I stumbled upon VIS racing who will make 15 84-85 hoods for $385 each. They normally only do group buys with 20 hoods, but the manager will work with 15. I was unable to find a company that would make an 82-83 hood and cut them down to 84-85 size. So we're stuck with the 84-85 mold. This hood will fit on all 3rd generation Celicas as the hood latch and mounting locations are the same. The hood will not have the little bit of extra lip that the 82-83 hoods do.
