Can anyone suggest which Supra engine is easily available and an easy swap into my 84 Celica GTS? I would like to increase the power on a dirt track car without a ton of fabrication and headaches. I would also like to retain my existing 5spd trans. If you could supply model of engine and what it came in would be great! can respond here or email directly to thelastnut@shaw.ca.

Easiest swaps in order of difficulty are going to be the 5MGE/7MGE/7MGTE.

5MGE came in the 82-86 Supra, which was based on the 3rd gen Celica. W58 transmission.

7MGE/7MGTE came in the 87-92 Supra. W58/R154 transmission.
