![]() Car and Driver recently called for the Death of Scion. Steven Lang from, The Truth About Cars disagrees. He feels the company will not end up dead like Plymouth and Mercury before it, but does agree the brand is in a slump. Slumps can be busted as he points out. Lang argues that, Hyundai, Kia, Subaru and Audi have all done it before. Scion's new FR-S is a sports model that could be the start of a new sporty brand. One that attracts people who do not want to buy from a company that has a stodgier image. This could be a brand for a people who want afforadble sporty and not affordable luxury. Car and Driver made the point that Scion has no heritage, this means they can essentially start with a semi-blank slate. For the rest of the rallying cry, head over to The Truth About Cars |

Scion means younger generation so they were always pointed at the Civic-esque crowd, yet now they come out and say they are gonna go all sporty with the brand?
It was always meant to be sporty, they just failed at first.
