Rough Running

Hey guys I just bought my 2001 celica a few months ago, its got a little over 135,00 miles on it and about a week ago i started have problems any speed over 50 and my mechanic cant seem to figure it out. (its a 5 speed)

Once i get above 50, or under moderate to heavy acceleration my RMP's drop suddenly and bounce back up, and my car jerks, it does the same at lower speeds but its less noticeable.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
