Default steering wheel problem

ok, when i turn my steering wheel, my celica makes a loud noise.i thought it was becuz of my steering wheel fluid but i checked.the fluid is above max.so idk wats the problem

More info dude. By loud noise, do you mean a bang, a clank, grinding? My guess based on the little information provided is cv-joint

yea i agree with pirogt. probably the cv. Does it happen when you turn both ways or just one side?

ok, so if its the cv-joint, how can i fix it?so is the steering fluid a problem?should i call a car service for this.

It is a CV axle which is replaced as a whole assembly, if you don't know how to work on cars, you will need to put it in for it to be serviced.

drain the transmission, take off the wheel, remove brake caliper, rotor, pads, unbolt the lower control arm to give the assembly a little slack, then there is a 30mm nut that requires a lot of torque to get off, after that, just unsnap a little pin and the CV axle should come right off. Put the pin on the new axle, insert it in, and it should click. Re fill the transmission fluid and put everything back together.
