Default High idle after swap 2zz

00 celica gts 2zz atx. Just finished up replacing the engine and upon start up the car is idling at around 2500 rpms. Had to leave for work but I'm thinking it's a vacuum leak. Does that sound right? Still need to bleed the air out of the coolant but I want to get the idle right before I do that. Also have a question about a sensor under the air box. Not the one connected to the air box, this one is over by the inner fender. Anyone know what it's called/function? Where does it hook to? I have it ran up to the air box right now but I'm not sure about it. This could be causing the high idle. Thanks in advance

Figured it out myself. For anyone experiencing a high idle remove your tb and clean the iacv and it should smooth it out. Did mine.

I'm glad this car is being sold. I'm on the Mazda forums for my personal car and they are alot of help. I've posted a few simple questions on here that I've answered myself because nobody seems to reply on here unless it's something simple. Good luck with your not so helpful forum. Anyone seeking real help may want to try newcelica. Org forum. They might actual give you useful info lol peace

Sounds like you will fit right in with those punks at newcelica.org, Slaxer on this sight is very knowledgeable about anything and every thing to do with Celica's Period. The most you will get out of New celica is a bunch of wanna be ricers who tell every one to do things their way or they trash you. The moderators dive right in the thick of things doing the same and if you have a serious question about a celica they tell you to sell the piece of crap and buy another car,if its such a piece why do they drive them let alone troll on a celica forum. If this site isnt what you DEMAND then move along, this bunch of enthusiasts have helped many people out with problems on their celicas. I am glad to see you go...Peace out !!!!

Funny how you can only get a reply after you figured out the problem yourself. As for slaxer he responded to a question I had over a year ago and was very helpful. As for you, well sir your a tool. Celicas a junk as far as I'm concerned. I only buy them and sell them. I don't drive them other then to test drive after I've fixed the issues. "your glad to see me go" well instead of wasting your time posting that why wasn't you helping someone with a issue? The guys on newcelica punks? No sir, your a punk. Atleast they attempt to help. Instead of wasting someone's time much as you have here. Save the tough guy routine for some of these kids or losers that live in their moms basement. If you've wasted your time reading this far, then you wasted time that you could of used to actually help someone since your so knowledgable lol. Grow up and get a life. While your at it get a real car. Block me, ban me I don't care this will be the last second I waste on this sh!ty forum. Bye now

Amen...just another butt hurt punk who has no sex life and therefore has to take his aggression out on people he doesnt know or never will meet, typical symptoms of a punk all big and bad over the internet. Glad to see him go but I dont think we have seen the last of him ...his kind always comes back.

Just leave it alone and don't post your frustrations or he will have fuel when he wanders back here to see what we wrote.
