Does anyone know how easy it is to replace the throwout bearing? *I believe mine is going out on me. *When my car idles, I get this nice squeal, but when I push the clutch pedal in it goes away. *I think my clutch throwout bearing is done for.
Any ideas?

I have a squeaky belt too. *I'm going to try to push in the clutch on start up and see if it goes away. *My belt is the loudest when there is alot of moisture in the air. *Once it gets hot the noise goes away. *Sometimes, when I turn on the A/C the rise in RPM alieviates it a bit. *I know Toyota put a TSB out on a tensioner pully and they will replace the pully and the belt for free if you have less than 30,000 miles. *Unfortunately I don't. *First time I have been disappointed in a Toyota. *Hope this helps.

Krikus: *Are you sure? *Did you go to a dealer and speak to them directly? ??? *They might do it anyways since there's a TSB on it. *If they don't, I heard from a toyota technician that like you said they can squeak more when there's moisture in the air and you can sprinkle a bit of talcum powder on the belt to help absorb it

Haggard: *Auto here, sorry I can't help
