I dont think it will make a huge difference but correct me if im wrong. Im no expert so yeah
![]() Theory - In a traditional otto engine the more air you can put in the more power is produced. Generally, the more air flow available, the higher the power output of an engine will be. This is why turbos were created, they put way more air in the engine adding more fuel and tada more power. A larger throttle body delivers air at a higher rate than a stock engine, allowing the driver to feel an accelerating response from the vehicle sooner. Your intake runners also have a lot to do with your torque but thats for another post. In addition to increasing acceleration performance, larger throttle bodies can also boost overall horsepower. This gives the engine increased power and torque by allowing more air in. My thoughts - Changing the throttle body without changing the intake manifold, injectors, tune, intake, header and exhaust won't do you much good anyways. it's a system. If everything else in your car is stock then you really wont see any gains bro. Especially with your stock exhaust and intake... In a car like subspec where he has a engine management system, fully done engine, exhaust, then this makes sense. Subspecs car will benefit from this mod, yours or mine, not so much. |
